Duggans Pty Ltd, a wholly family owned Tasmanian company, is situated at Cradoc, approximately fifty kilometres south of Hobart, on the banks of the Huon River, one of the most beautiful locations in the Huon Valley.
The Duggan enterprise was founded by Harry Duggan in 1927 with the purchase of his first lorry. A very proud history of trucking and transport operations, farming - including dairy and apple growing, and school bus operations is the foundation of a successful company that is today managed by third generation family members and employs 50 to 55 full time staff and 5 contractors.
The operation boasts an extensive quarry, complete with on-site crushing facilities and a long-term resource of bluestone. Quarry products are effectively downstream processed through the on-site ready mix batch-plant, road works, earth moving departments, and a state of the art precast factory.
The company has a commitment to research and development in all divisions to ensure product development and best practice are maintained.
A Quality System to ISO 9002, has been developed and implemented to ensure that all customer requirements are satisfied. Supported by an on premises concrete and quarry material testing laboratory and qualified Q.A. staff, the Quality System is applicable to all divisions and to all activities undertaken by the Company.
